Test Description

Focusing on HCL recruitment procedure, the first round can be of moderate to difficult and students should give equal preference to all the sections.

Round 1

The first round is an aptitude test of 60 multiple choice questions. The HCL aptitude test has no negative markings. The significant benefit is there are no sectional timings so that students can take their own time solving higher difficulty level questions. This test would cover the following topics:

Reasoning Ability:

  • Logical Reasoning

  • Statements and Arguments
  • Directional Sense
  • Pattern Analogy

  • Data Sufficiency
  • Coding and Decoding
  • Logic and Statement-Assumption

Verbal Ability:

The students should have fundamental knowledge and verbal skills to answer this section. The questions will check grammar, vocabulary and other verbal skills of the student.

Technical Ability:

In this section, the commonly asked questions are on data structure and algorithms, C programming, OOPS concepts. This section is relatively difficult.

Round 2

It is a technical interview where the questions will be from Data Structures, Operating Systems, Database Management Systems and other programming languages concepts.

Round 3

The third round is HR interview. Students who cleared technical round will be eligible for this round.
